The ADASA PAD3500 family of RFID Encoders are optimized for in-process RFID
tagging. Our encoders are fast and efficient, encoding up to 40 inlays per minute,
or over 20,000 inlays per 8 hour shift. Used for item-level tagging, these
encoders are well suited to apparel tagging. ADASA enables high volume encoding
of item level RFID tags with minimum changes to your existing business
processes. ADASA RFID encoders minimize overall tagging costs and are easy to
implement and operate.
How they work:
Scan: Using the
attached or wireless bar code scanner, scan the first UPC SKU from the existing
packaging. The EPC version of the bar code is instantly formulated and ready to
use. Set aside the scanner until a new type of SKU needs to be tagged.
Encode: The PAD3500 encodes unique EPC tag numbers using ADASA’s
patent pending tag serialization technology that guarantees unique SGTIN tags,
even while operating off-network. Apply: The user removes encoded
tags and applies them to any item or label with one finger. The encoder always
stays one step ahead, enabling the user to attain maximum productivity. ADASA PAD3500 uses an IEEE802.11 (WiFi) communications link.
The command set includes commands for encoding and automatically verifying each RFID tag or
inlay before it is dispensed. If any tag does not verify correctly, it is
discarded onto a built-in take up spool. This error-proofing process is fast and
completely automatic. Dispensed tags are automatically peeled away from the
release liner for you, eliminating time-consuming handling problems.
A fixed version of the PAD3500 sets on a tableTop and uses an attached laser barcode scanner (ABS-100)
to enable hands free flexible positioning of the scan beam. This allows
efficient, high speed, stationary in-process manual tagging. The barcode
scanner is affixed to a 6” gooseneck and is able to read UPC-A, UPC-E, and
GTIN-14 bar codes.
ADASA’s uniquely designed hip holster comfortably and ergonomically combines the
PAD3500 and Motorola’s LS2208 bar code scanner. The hip holster easily attaches
to the operator’s belt using industrial designed nylon webbing and quarter-turn
fasteners. Accommodates both left and right hand users.
The PAD3500 features the unique capability to automatically formulate SGTIN-96 EPC
UII's without a real-time network connection. Stores thousands of SKU's are stored in an
internal non-volatile database. Results can be reported to a host computer in
batch mode using advanced ADASA Mobile XML API. FCC-approved M8 encoder
technology.
