 ADASA SmartCartridges protect your RFID tags from physical and electronic damage during all handling processes. The black plastic enclosure fits easily into your hand and greatly reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD). Damaging jolts of electrostatic energy have the potential of causing instant or latent damage to the microscopic integrated circuit that is at the heart of your RFID tags. Latent damage is perhaps the worst form of damage since it may work for awhile, then fail, perhaps at your customer’s site. Fortunately the ADASA SmartCartridges are designed to absorb ESD jolts. The energy is safely dissipated by the carbon atoms that are impregnated into the plastic housing. ESD is very common in any workplace, especially in dry climates, and requires some sort of ESD absorbing materials to protect sensitive electronic components.
Master cartons contain six reusable mailer cartons, each of which contains two ADASA SmartCartridges. There are 500 tags per cartridge, with 6,000 tags per master carton. When you receive a shipment of tag cartridges, reloading a fresh cartridge is a fast and efficient operation. Just remove a mailer from the master carton, lift the cover, and remove a fresh cartridge. 
The mailer is designed to hold each cartridge pair in tight compression to withstand harsh handling, including a six foot drop to a rock hard concrete floor. Another smart reason to use ADASA SmartCartridges is to prevent the slippery release liner from accumulating on your shop floor. This prevents injuries to your workers and provide for a safer, cleaner work environment. Silicone-coated release liner should never be thrown on the floor, nor should it ever be mixed in with recyclable paper waste since the silicone contaminates the paper stock.
